Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using Ticker.Investments (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. What the Service is

Ticker.Investments provides stock market data, charts, watchlists, price alerts, and optional AI-generated research summaries for US and Canadian markets. It is an information tool only.

3. Not financial advice

Nothing on the Service is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. The AI research tools generate informational summaries that may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong, and must not be relied on as advice. Market data may be delayed. You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions and should consult a licensed advisor.

4. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least the age of majority in your province or territory to create an account. We sign you in with an emailed link rather than a password — keep access to your email secure, as anyone with it can access your account. You are responsible for activity under your account.

5. Paid plans, credits, and billing

Paid plans and credit top-ups are billed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account page; cancellation stops future renewals, and you keep access through the end of the period you've already paid for.

Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and are non-refundable except where required by law. Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless stated otherwise and may change with notice for future billing periods. We may offer refunds at our discretion.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Service: no scraping, automated bulk access, or attempts to exceed rate limits; no reverse engineering, disrupting, or probing the Service's security; and no use that breaks the law or infringes others' rights. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.

7. Market data and third parties

Market data is provided by third parties (including Finnhub and TwelveData) on an “as is” basis and may be delayed, interrupted, or inaccurate. Payments are handled by Stripe and AI analysis by Anthropic, each under their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

8. Intellectual property

The Service's software, design, and content (excluding third-party market data) belong to Ticker.Investments. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ticker.Investments will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for investment losses arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; we'll change the date above and, for significant changes affecting account holders, notify you by email. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
